Super Mario Bros may be one of the most recognizable games in all history of gaming.

Working on a different variety of games, Miyamoto, the game's creator, designed an arcade game featuring Mario. The game originally was set under New York City, which explained the green pipes. It was also the first game to give Mario inhuman-like abilities and feature his brother, Luigi.

Super Mario Bros back in the day, was a huge game with a combination of 24 levels. It was also the first game to include left-to-right side scrolling which defined platformers for decades to come. Fans of the Mario franchise wanted more of this red hatted plumber. Soon, in 1988, Super Mario Bros 2 was released in Japan and followed in North America in 1991. It was actually very different from the first game, which many of the original Mario Fans had disliked. Miyamoto decided to go back to its roots and improve from its first game.

Finally, after the release of Super Mario Bro's first two games, Super Mario Bros 3 was released. It was the first of its predacessors to include a world map and inventory along side. This game had been considered to be one of the greatest and most emjoyable of the bunch. Levels were able to be skipped at the users command and many other new, innovative, technologies had arisen from the game followed by other games to this day.
